Church Building
Throughout the
years, RAM has helped the Romanian evangelical churches in the
southeastern part of Romania to build houses of worship for God's
people.
In the Romanian predominantly Eastern Orthodox culture, the presence
of God is associated with the presence of a church building. The
Orthodox churches and local authorities often label the evangelical
groups without a church building as "cultists." In order to increase
the positive witness of the Romanian evangelicals among the people,
RAM plugged in and helped the Romanian growing congregations without
a house of worship build one.
Several houses of prayer have been built from scratch or have been
completed with funds donated through RAM by faithful generous
American Christian believers. The sanctuaries of the Baptist
churches in Onesti, Comanesti, Sohodor, Satu Nou-Bacau, Racatau-Bacau,
Pascani, Crevedia, Berceni-Bucharest, Militari-Bucharest, Holy
Trinity Baptist Church of Braila, and Holy Trinity Baptist Church of
Giurgiu are standing today as great testimonies to God's
faithfulness through RAM's generous donors.
While several
church buildings on the mission field await completion, RAM is
dedicated to helping these congregations see those sanctuaries
built. However, the focus of the RAM ministry has become more
oriented within the last few years on building and training leaders
for the Romanian churches.
